Listing description (copied from website): Built in 1928 by the Pullman Company as a sleeping observation car named "Crystal Peak". Originally assigned to Southern Pacific Railroads famed Overland Limited. Retired by the Pullman Company in 1954 and sold to famed rail author Lucius Beebe. The inside of the car was completely redecorated into a one of a kind venetian renaissance baroque interior. With antique furnishings valued at over a half million dollars, Virginia City was said to be the most lavishly appointed private car on rails. Some of the interior upgrades included a Italian marble gas fireplace, hand blown Muranno crystal chandeliers, 17th century Barouque mirror, antique dining room table and chairs, Italian frescos and richly upholstered couches in the lounge. The car floor plan includes a spacious observation lounge, three bedrooms, formal dining room, 2 restrooms (1 shower), crew room and kitchen.
