The Carbonear, Newfoundland town council has rescinded a motion to scrap a rusting, rare diesel locomotive:

Now we should start an effort to orchestrate getting the engine scaled and painted...

(Incidentally, Carbonear is a fairly straight shot up 75 and then 70 from the Trans-Canada Highway west out of St. John...)
