Okay, that green caboose may be the same color combo as the gondola but since the light yellows are fairly washed out, I don't think we'd be able to discern a difference between Croydon Cream and Lunar Yellow anyway. Croydon Cream is the lightest yellow in the fan deck and Lunar Yellow is the third lightest. Notice how yellow the light poles look, however.

The CTA's Mercury Green and the WP/RDG's Woodfield Green appear to be the same color and it looks like they're using 1317 Green as Mercury Green on CTA #30 there. If you search for older photos of CTA equipment you'll see that same lighter blue-green color which mimics Woodfield Green in older Reading photos.

I have actually duplicated that effect here in the back yard so waddaya know, 1317's officially in the running as Woodfield Green, oh yeah, and Mercury green. LOL

BTW, that VanSickle paint on the fencepost is really holding up well...

I don't believe Seacrest Green will give up without a fight, however...

Here we have the raw scans of 1317 Green, 1226 Diamond Yellow, 1012 Swamp Holly Orange, and 082 Omaha Orange over the nose of WP #912. I'll tell you what, if Woodfield Green really is 1317, then that, along with Southern's Virginia Green, Swift Green, CTA Mercury Green, REA Express Green, etc., would pretty much cement its status as a legendary railroad paint color, you know, like Pullman Green and Brewster Green... LOL

Now this is interesting since the main color is definitely not Pullman Green and the light green looks like the same color AHM used on their Reading C-Liners, not to mention what might be two different yellows...

Oh yeah, I'm sure we're going to be revisiting this color scheme again soon... LOL

Other kids in the neighborhood had the AHM Reading locos, but I can't recall ever seeing one of the NP C-Liners so now one of those will be showing up in the mail soon along with the Reading version. Of course, I ordered dummies because I don't want them to be any smarter than me even with my new old paint color thinking cap on...

I can't recall if I ever posted the faded Mayflower van trailer picture or not, but I do recall that's DuPont 1317 Green along with 1226 Diamond Yellow and 1863 Swift Red...

DuPont 6202 Green, General Motors WE5645, the slightly lighter fifties-era Railway Express Agency color that started this thread, will flash a blue-green as well so I had to try to figure out a way to eliminate that one. It still looks like the exact difference between the seventies Reading and Katy greens, though...

Clockwise from the bottom left, WE5645 (6202), WE5646 (1317), the Old Oliver Green fence post with real paint, RDG #259, a stack of rusty rail, and Dodge truck step bumper surface rust with some minor pitting. I'm really hoping that'll do it... LOL

Oh, and get this, Imron polyurethane-based 1317 Green actually is a little bit darker than its previous incarnations...

Well, I wasted a small portion of the morning doing this one but then, I didn't expect any conclusive results anyway.

Plus, I had to put 5316 New Oliver Green on there also since that's the color AHM used on the Reading C-Liner... LOL

DuPont 5316 is General Motors WE5762. The yellow is a good match for WE5909, DuPont 6808, which is way off since that one, in real life, is only very slightly darker than C&O Federal Yellow...

So far on the NP version, it's WE5769 Brockway Medium Chrome Green, DuPont 71703, and here's a new one, WE5778 Ford Bright Vineyard Green, DuPont 3687...
