The Lima Loco Works, pretty much complete from a building standpoint (of course the buildings were mostly empty) was demolished in Dec. of 1997. Shortly thereafter, the remnants of the Baldwin Locomotive Works was leveled except for the main office building (thnaks for small favors).<p>Now, a building at the old ALCo plant goes up in flames. I had made some attempts to find out what was left in Schenectady and what its status was, but didn't get very far. Does anybody know?
