For anyone who found this thread under the original premise of looking for new uniform hats, New England Railroad Uniform is producing good quality uniform pieces to order.

Well, one of the lurkers here sent me an email suggesting I roll my motorman's cap in crater grease to restore a deep, black color. Apparently it also makes a good hair pomade. Not quiet Dapper Dan, but it'll do ya.

I was also informed that Paul Yorkis is still in business. Apparently, they still offer my exact hat and 2 other styles as well as ticket punches, hat badges and some other products. https://www.americanrailwaysupply.com/

I always thought my cap came from Transquip. Now I know.

If I mess up my hat trying to redye it, I suppose I'll just order a new one.
