The sailing of USS Constitution is only done when the ship has major work done on it. The guests are carried by the escort tug boat and the Constitution has a full working crew to handle the ship and the sails. This event was photographed by Preston Cook in 1997.

I didn't realize that an F-40 cab was built like that, with a hood-unit style back contour, and an engineer's door. Is the F-40 cab essentially a GP-40 cab with the cowl extended forward and back from it?

We posted an album on New York Central #16 steam tugboat on the Barriger Library FLICKR website it is 20 years since CVS Pharmacy scrapped the tugboat to make a few more spaces in their parking lot. (7/28/2006)
