We’re excited to share progress on a long-standing project our president has been developing: an open-source 3D model of the F40PH.

The model is nearing completion. As shown in the current render, a few side panels and the engine room door handle are still missing. Additional refinements include updating the coupler from a standard type to a Type H, making minor adjustments to the HEP and MU ports, and correcting the windshield size. The most significant remaining work is accurately modeling the piping and wiring beneath the frame.

We are currently seeking individuals who have access to an F40PH and may be able to provide detailed reference photos of these areas. Your assistance would greatly help us bring this model to completion.

Here is a link to download what we have so far https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h1Q17K ... sp=sharing

What is your source for the design? Some of these detail items can vary between different F-40 models, especially in the Commuter world.

We have Amtrak 307 at the shop and can take any photos or measurments you need. Please contact me through our website as logging in here takes too many incantations, blood sacrifices, waiting for moon and star alignments and then hoping some random guy in Ohio sneezes in a northwesterly direction at the same time I hit LOGIN
