Chrome still working but I do have to tell it to keep me logged in..........mld

It really shouldn't make a difference, but I was able to log in after four tries and actually stay logged in with Chrome and do two posts, if this one sticks. Dunno if that's a fluke or not. Safari, Edge, Firefox and Opera were basically basically a no-go. If (big IF) I could log in initially, the next screen change would usually kick me out.

This site has become too frustrating and non-functional. It's sad as there's really nothing like it elsewhere where you can actually have intelligent (mostly) discourse in an easily searchable format.

In settings and privacy/security
Cookies and site data

Manage Exceptions

Then Delete rypn cookies

PLUS automatic login on every visit:

I'm going to guess that bots are now registered members is part of the issue PLUS 50+AI guests choking the bandwidth.

Here is an update on the Login Issues.

As of the moment I have found that I am able to stay logged in and post as long as I check the "Log me on automatically each visit" box when I log in. This seems to be the case with others as well.

I have been unable to remain logged into the ACP (Admin Control Panel) long enough to do anything productive. I can actually get to the panel after about 20 tries and then get logged out as soon as I try to navigate within the ACP. I did manage to get to one user account and reset their login before being throwne back into the login loop of frustration.

I have attempted to reach our to David Collison who is the owner and guy who has kept things running. I have made other contacts on getting in touch with David and will see if this is of any help.

I am likely about to jinx it, but last few days the login and loading issues have gone the way of the dodo, at least for me (using Firefox on a Windows11 machine).

If something was resolved in the backend that has (at least for now) returned the website to a stable condition, applause for whoever accomplished it.

Assuming that said fix has taken place, and that it is a long-term solution, if an update from someone on the mod/admin that such has been applied can be posted here, that would be appreciated.

However, if this is just "luck of the draw" and it goes back to being Jekyll and Hyde, then blame me for unleashing said jinx, har har.

EDIT: and as soon as I posted the above, I got a login circle of doom, but got out of it. See? Jinx

This worked for me as well, although I had tried it before.

I have always clicked the "keep me logged in" checkmark/option, and yet I still get caught in login loops, and have to re-click it every time for it to eventually decide to stick.

EDIT: and just now for the first time I encountered the logout bug when trying to post; fortunately I had done a CTRL+C on the text in the window right before I lost it.

The fact that it wants us to stay logged on now, and won't let us log off, might also be a result. I doubt that would work anyway. Google Analytics is a tool for webmasters so they know how the website is performing and if there are any problems with the pages and how they present. I've installed GA on every site I've designed and managed. There is no monetization with GA.

Cookies aren't the problem, either. I could go in depth on my theories on the problems here but since I'm not the webmaster, they'd be just theories.

Side note: FWIW, I just logged in with Safari. First time successful. Surprised me.

I did see the GA scripts in the page heads. I didn’t notice Cloudflare tho I wasn’t looking for it, either.

And…. Second time in a row logging in with Safari.

A reminder: check the box marked "Log me on automatically each visit" below your handle and password each time you attempt to log in. So, if you don't get logged in right away, keep checking that box and try again. Sometimes (when it is busy I think) I need to try two or three times before I am logged in and can post.

Why all the problems, I want to post a question on RYPN,, once I got the post written up and add the attachment it KICKS ME BACK TO THE LOG IN PAGE....
What is going on with RYPN,,, I tried 3 times to post a question and kept getting KICKED BACK TO THE LOG IN PAGE.....
Please could one of the moderators please answer WHY this is happening,,, Thank you Pat...
