Well now, a suspicious mind. I like that. Yes, you are right, I have a reason for asking, but if I divulged it, it would prejudice the responses.

I will say there's a point being made here, although I'd like to see more responses before declaring my guess validated and posting "part 2".

Smart Phone. Droid 3G with a keypad. Just upgraded to that from a 7-8 year old phone. Unbelievable access to anything and everything with it. Use it to look at my emails, texting, etc.

I have a Droid X, from which I lurk on RYPN from time to time. Usually while waiting for 17 to build steam.

I'm not sure if this question is asking whether organizational Boards of Directors are using these technologies, or if those of us on this forum are.

If the latter, I have a Droid Incredible 2 that I use very frequently, but not usually to browse this site.

Well now that a second inquiry has been made and I've jolted a few stagnant neurons to life with caffeine, I see how this subject line is confusing. Wow, I can't believe I missed the connotation that this might be limited to BOARDS OF DIRECTORS.

Sorry for the confusion, but by "BOARD", I meant "members" of the RYPN "DISCUSSION BOARD".

I do not use i-technology to access RyPN.

iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4GS coupled to my MAC Book Pro and Apple Airport Extreme.

I just switched from Microsoft based machines to Apple this past summer. I enjoy the best Internet browsing on all the devices...that I have ever had. My HP laptop is for my 60 year old mom to play with. She can't comprehend how to work with Apple hardware.

I like the quality of the entire experience with Apple's machines.

BlackBerry 9300, upgrading to an iPhone 4 when the business gives me a new phone this month. RYPN shows up fine in the BB Browser.

As for access, I still maintain a land line and I give my mobile number to few people. But if something goes wrong with work (or family), I need to know right now. Waiting will never make those problems better.

In this hobby that emphasizes history there will always be a few that take the Luddite path and continue to use manual typewriters, carbon copies, rotary dial phones, cameras that use vile chemicals, and who look askance at those who embrace modern technology wholeheartedly. But the key word in all of this is "communication." Keeping everyone in an organization on the same page is vital to the success of that group. Anything that makes it easier, quicker, and more comprehensive is OK with me.

iPhone

I do use my iPhone 3G at times and others it's my Toshiba Satellite A665 laptop.

I would say it's 70/30, with the Satellite in the lead, which I'm posting this from right now.


Now, when is that RYPN app coming out? ;)

Droid phone w/ slide out keypad used for accessing the net when away from home base "big" computer. RyPN usually gets checked during the day that way.
