None of the above.

Mind you, weren't/aren't we rail enthusiasts among the last consumers of slide film and projector bulbs?

I heard there's this thing called the Internet..... some bunch of tubes or wires or whatnot.....

Hate them all, wary peace made with a cel phone although it makes me uncomfortably accessable way too much of the time.

Ipad with wifi keyboard attachment. Makes it as handy to use as a notebook computer.

Asus Transformer with attached keyboard. It's the best tablet-like-a-laptop option I've found.

Daily via iPad or iPhone, both running iOS5.

Funny, I remember once around 2007 being accused of being a show-off or something because I mentioned having issues typing posts on the RYPN forum due to adjusting to a new iPhone. ;-)

Times change, eh?

Well, sort of. I'm still master of the two-thumb typo.

My own phone is still somewhat 'dumb' by today's standards, but I'd be more curious why you ask the question.

Is your question focused on 'attendance'? Does your organization allow some sort of 'remote' attendance (i.e., conference call, Skype, etc) in business meetings? Our By-Laws say Board attendance must be in person to count towards quorum. Sure, we've dialed people into meetings for discussions of matters there their input is key, but that doesn't count towards actual attendance.

Is your question more about the technology and how to best use it? Our current President always has the meeting agenda and related media to present in Power Point up on the big screen in the meeting room. We have Wi-Fi in the museum so if something needs to be looked up on the 'net we can do it. Beyond the occasional use of a phone to bring someone in for a topic, that's how we use technology.

I'm sure some of the Board members and officers of the museum have smart phones, but that per se doesn't play role in running the museum.

I've also wondered if at such time we redo an exhibit, if a QR code pointing to more information should be added at the bottom of every sign or caption. Not sure if enough people would use that to make it worth the trouble.

Being that I'm a Board Member of my museum, that's how I immediately interpreted your question, but I suppose you could mean the wider audience of all members of this discussion board! Either way, I'd still be curious what's behind the request.

Our Museum board does not conduct business at the table using any kind of i-technology.

My colleague here at the Day Job has managed to take her board paperless using Nooks at board meetings for folks without i-technology. She reported reducing paper use at the board meeting from several cartons to two reams. Our County Arts and Humanties Council has a paperless grants process. Our application is completed online and the grants panel receives the entire grants package for review on tablet hardware.
