This may be a bit off topic, but a friend who just came back from Steamtown last week. He was talking to one of the NPS persons at the site. The NPS guy mention that there was some talk at Steamtown of Rahway Valley 15 going on loan for a year or two to the Whippany museum. Is there any truth in this or just a possibility - maybe - if? Does Steamtown loan locomotives? Would be nice to see a Jersey loco back in NJ near home turf. Dave

Rahway Valley 15 would need a complete rebuild. That would put them in the same boat as with 4039.

Howdy; From what I understood, the loan of Rahway Valley15 was for display only. Also, my friend saw the 565 at Steamtown, and thought she looked better that she had in 40 years, and also that Steamtown has less of a "Naparano" receiving yard. look , as it had in the past. Dave

Hi Steve, Last time I saw the 565, it was behind the New Hope engine house in 1975 being stripped by Frank Menair while the Late Larry Cohen & the late Sam Freeman (owner of FEC 4-6-2 148) were exchanging rude stories about Pullman Porters in it's cab. Frank at the time said she'll be running in a year! Dave
