Probably the most glaring error is the illustration with the PE PCC car. There were 30, and they were all sold to a railway in Argentina in the late 1950's. None of them have survived. The nearest thing to a Pacific Electric PCC today is the "tribute" car, SF Muni 1061, a single ended all-electric ex-Philadelphia car that runs on Muni's "F" line in a PE-style paint job. And PE 530, the car mentioned in the article was rescued a few years ago. Be that as it may, if the article inspires people to visit OERM, that's a good thing.

An ex PE freight motor survived in Buenos Aires in the late 90s. In bad shape, but surviving. I would not be surprised if it has been the target of scrap metal thieves, as was Porta's 4-8-0 "Argentina".

According to the Preserved North American Electric Railway Cars website, there are four ex-PE freight motors surviving (in rather rough condition) in Argentina. Judging from the photos linked to PNAERC, the Baldwin-Westinghouse trucks have been replaced with trucks that may have been salvaged from ex-PE 1100-class cars. Another survivor from the expatriate Red Cars in ex-PE 758, a "Hollywood" car that was the next to last in the series. It, too, has had a rough life, but battered though it is, it appears to be restorable.

655, was PE 5094, original number restored and car modified for highway operation by Richard Fellows. Now on unmotorized trucks and displayed at OERM.
680, became Portland 4022, stored inoperable, may be missing motors, at Seashore.
716, was 5166 , then MTA 1814, back to original number, stored inoperable.
717, was 5167, then MTA 1815, back to original number, painted in pre-1938 paint scheme, operated often. (including by your correspondent.)

I believe that's right. Some of the ex-PE locomotives acquired trucks, motors and control from ex-1100's. As recently as about ten years ago there was an ex-1100 shell in Argentina on shop trucks, which theoretically could have been made mechanically whole (or close to it) by parting out one of the derelict locomotives, but I'm nearly certain that the ex-1100 shell has since been scrapped. The ex-Red River Lumber box cab (ex-PE 1593) appears to retain its Baldwin trucks but I don't know whether it got ex-1100 motors or control.
