It was mentioned earlier in this thread (and back in November of 2007) that some large 8-3-2-7 numbers were cut out and "sitting on a workbench at the Minneapolis Junction steam shop". So did these ever get put on the cab of the 0-8-0? An updated photo showing same would be welcome (hint, hint!)

portable switch heater, brilliant idea. Wonder why the loco builders didnt think of that one.

Good thing the jacket is not on, that attracts rust.

Bandana Square was mentioned on a recent thread and in doing some checking, I somehow ended up on this old thread. Apparently, that weekend drive mentioned above back in 2010 never happened. So, I did a check through the internet and found this more recent shot of the 0-8-0:

It looks like SOMEONE is doing a decent job in keeping the 8327 looking presentable, but it also appears that the mentioned 8-3-2-7 numerals were never put on the locomotive.

As I understand it, Northstar Chapter NRHS has sort of taken the engine under it's wing, and one of the members has a local Scout group helping keep it up.
