NYO&W NW2 116 Move to the DURR in Arkville

Former NW2 116 is loaded and ready to go in Binghampton:

They expect the engine will leave Binghamton tomorrow morning (Monday the 18th) and arrive Kelly corners (near Arville) between 1:30 and 3. This is of course subject to change.

LATEST - NYSDOT is not accepting the load due to weight distribution on the trailer. An amended permit is being filed. Hopefully they will roll tomorrow (Tuesday, 5/19).

LATEST - The 116 did not move today (5/19). Next try will be tomorrow at noon (5/20).

NYO&W NW2 made it to its new home in Arkville yesterday (5/21). Finally!

The most recently posted (May 25) twenty-five photos (keyword Delaware & Ulster) on my NERail portfolio shows the arrival and unloading of #116 at the NY State Route 30 Kelly Corners grade crossing, and subsequent deadhead haul east to Arkville.
