Is it possible that maybe the person was confusing an electric similar to the the CSS&SB "little joe" that is now at the NE PA railway museum?

Just a thought.

NdeM returned some (many?) of these locomotives to BLW for overhaul'. That may account for the photo.

If we're referring back to Striegel scrap yard in Baltimore again (and not, say, Eddystone, Mexico, or whatever), I've never seen any documentation that such a loco (say, a Milwaukee "Little Joe", a New Haven EP-4, a Great Northern W-1, a Virginian EL-2B, or any other loco that could be confused for a Centipede by someone who had never seen one but only heard of one) ever reached that scrap yard. Not that it couldn't have...............

Hello:
Baldwin did in fact rebuild many of the N de M centipedes in the early 1950's. These of course would not have anything to do with the Streigal Scrap Yard.
Concerning Reading #2100, I saw it at the WM roundhouse at Hagerstown, MD when C&O #614 was being rebuilt there. It looked very forlorn ! Also, the NYC 0-6-0 that went to Connersville,IN was in the yard at Hagerstown, I saw it on my way out.

My comment re: NdeM locos was in response to "trolleyira's" remarks.
The story and circumstance behind that sighting was related to me many years previously by a (now deceased) BLW Service Engineer.

To re-connect the subjects of NdeM and Striegel, a number of retired DL&W FM units were re-sold by Striegel to a small Mexican railroad.

If 2100 contributed parts for Rowland's 2101, would it be logical to conclude they were returned after the fire that retired Rowland's locomotive? If not, somebody did quite a job of rebuilding 2100 for service.
BTW, is there any word regarding returning 2100 to the east, or even operating her?

2100 is still resting comfortably on a siding in Pasco, Wa....
