Climax Locomotives website need a new Home

Today I surfed onto http://www.climaxlocomotives.com .
Well done and informative.
The present owner needs to get it a new owner or close it on 11/20/07.

According to the page, he is not looking for a new server, but for someone to take over the website, does not have the time anymore.

We're still finalizing all of the details, but it looks like I'll be giving the Climax website a new home and that it will continue to operate.

My real name is Jim Conte, and
the 060 Hogger referrs to my
early days at Williams Grove,
when the PRR 643 was #5
and still had Phoenix Iron and Steel
dust.

Could your time at the Grove been during the days when the passengers rode in the tender? Hopefuly someday I can sit down and talk with you about those early days.

I guess Bill has traded slim, trim and racy for rounded and streamlined.

You probably know, but in case you do not, Bob also has time at Williams Grove.

An update on the Climaxlocomotives.com website.

The migration to my server has been completed and I finally got the domain transfer finalized. The site has been offline for a week or so, as the 11/20 was a hard and fast deadline, so the old server went offline before I got the url transfer done.

Things have been switched over now, and you should be able to get to the site now. I don't plan on making any changes short term, and I really don't have any major changes planned for the long term either, though I may try and add some additional photos.

BZ...BZ...BZ...That's Navy radio slang for " Good Job, Well Done ! "

On a rainy day recently, I read ( devoured ) the Pa logging book called
Whining Saws and Squealing Flanges. The Climaxes were the favorites
of the loggers, because they were the best pullers,
according to that.
