The featured image for this article shows a train of oil-tanks on the Baku-Batoum Railway, part of the original Trans-Caspian network.

The original Trans-Caspian Railway is a historic, 19th-century railway built by the Russian Empire across Central Asia, stretching from Turkmenbashi (formerly Krasnovodsk) on the Caspian Sea to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
