As some of you may be aware, the ERIE #3 business car has been moved from the museum to the shop for reactivation.  The Historian, however, does not want to subject the original furniture to the abuse of regular service.

I'm looking for any lead on appropriate (1950s-ish) style lounge chairs for the observation end and a table and chairs for the dining room, ideally upholstered in a similar color and style of pattern as the originals (the couch will stay because it's built in.)

Our non-profit friends group the Iron Horse Society have expressed a willingness to participate in funding such a purchase, if pieces can be found at a reasonable price.  I'll gladly consider any lead or suggestion for furniture sources.

I would prefer that this thread is not a place to discuss the restoration of ERIE 3 or Steamtown National Historic Site in general.

That might be a tough one to get off the shelf. Rail car furniture can be quite specific and not "standard" in their dimensions. You might be able to have something custom built that is somewhat similar. There are furniture manufacturers that do that based off their standard designs. Maybe something like this: https://www.dreamsofa.com/. That's the first one that popped up with a quick search.

(U) There is a guy who makes historic railcar furniture in Tennessee. Name is Albert Pope. Sent his info to Justin at SNHS couple weeks ago.
