We have an opening for a steam train engineer at Silver Dollar City. This is a great opportunity to get into steam with a great company. This position is a part of the Maintenance & Construction (M&C) division, so you will have the opportunity to work on as well as operate the trains. Our railroad is a real Ozark mountain line, with steep grades and sharp turns. We are 24" gauge with 4 operating oil-burning steam locomotives, all from the 1930's-40's. This little railroad hauls nearly a million visitors each year!
While this is a seasonal position, the required break in service is only 45 days, and it is full-time 40 hours a week. Pay starts at $15/hr, and cost of living in the area is quite reasonable. There is the potential to advance within this position as your skillset grows.
