| Post subject: | Steam locomotive plate drawings |
Hi guys. I'm looking for a number of drawings to reproduce certain plates for LS&I number 18. Specifically, an Alco number plate that would be appropriate for the period (1910), a Nicholson thermic siphon plate (heart-shaped), and lastly, perhaps the biggest challenge, the plate that number 18 used to wear on each of its cylinders indicating they had been produced by Baldwin. If you look at old photographs of the locomotive you can see these plates on the cylinders. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. |
