Post subject:  Wall Brackests for Adams & Westlake Postal Car Candle Lamps

Here is a pair of wall brackets/catches for the ADAMS & WESTLAKE candle lamps, and others, that the railroads used in the postal and other railroad cars in case the electricity went out. These brackets have been milled from solid brass bar stock. The mounting holes have been drilled for #4 round head wood screws.

The reason that the candle lamps are found without the bracket is because the brackets had to be unscrewed from the walls of the RR cars, while the candle lamps could be just unhooked from the brackets (In other words, the lamps just sorta got "misplaced"). Note: The candle lamp in the photograph is not for sale.

Nice!

Candle brackets are much harder to come by than the brass lamps.

The Pyrex chimneys are a little tough as well, can you do glass blowing?
