Yes just like that. Found those but they are old auctions. Ebay has a complete light but would really rather get reflector. Dan |

Would a stainless steel bowl work just as well? |

I know this is not what you want, but the miniature livesteam locomotive builders, that are into the large scales, use Pyrex bowls and they somehow cut them down in OD and bore the center hole to get the bulb in them, and those look and function great. They must send out the machined bowl to be mirrored after getting it cut to shape. One other way to have a replacement reflector is to cut it from billet aluminum on a CNC lathe, just the way high-lumen flashlight reflectors are built today, see here; http://www.jet-beam.com.sg/jetbeam_difference.php That would be a fine reflector, and you could mirror it with any available mirroring technology, after its machined, and no one would know the difference. It would make the same light shape and lumens that you needed if you design it to the right shape. On second thought, talk to these guys, they might even have one that big; http://www.lightforceusa.com/products/marine I have a cracked (not significantly) Pyle-National headlight reflector that could be 3D scanned, if you needed one to scan for a replica project. |

I just noticed that there is one currently on ebay. I have no affiliation with the seller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pyle-National-1 ... 3cccd4826e |

That is a fairly good looking reflector, but way too high priced. They are obviously getting too rare. Has anyone looked at the importer; "Multipower", to see if the knock off reflector is a true replacement? The Pyle-National headlight reflectors were stable in their design and were the same in from about 1918- 1950's at the end of production. If the Chinese did a good job when they made their knock of last model Pyle-National (with the tapered cast aluminum case), the reflectors should interchange with the 14014 headlights. They may not be of the same material or of the same quality, but they might be usable, and they might be a bargain in cost. I'd negotiate the price with the importer, his markup is probably about 2000%. |

Here is another possible reflector on ebay. Maybe this one won't go for the price of a complete headlight like the last one did. http://www.ebay.com/itm/REFLECTOR-NEW-K ... 2a26bc810b |

Does that say; MARBLE 14x4x28 MADE IN JAPAN The info posted reads; > New "Marble" 14 X 4 X 28 Glass Dichroic 14" Reflector. Fits Kneisley PUP LP-1000 / 1600 lamphouse. Kneisley part number L-744. Actual Size 13.875" diameter / 4.250" height / 1.50" diameter back hole. Also fits 14" Pyle National Steam Locomotive headlight. > Hum... Its not the correct plating to have the uranium glow, but it would work. Here is the same model: http://www.ebay.com/itm/REFLECTOR-NEW-K ... 2a26bc810b Take a look at this: http://stores.ebay.com/Magna-Tech-and-I ... or&_fsub=2 |

Yes but if you read the description it states the reflector is shallower then a Pyle. Chinese headlights have a different type of bulb, ran off 50 volts and have a different reflector. trying to convert it to a 34 volt bulb requires makeing the hole larger to fit the bulb and then you cannot "tune-in" the beam correctly. always gives a ring of light with a dark center, much like an eclipse.
