Post subject:  Pullman light fixtures

Hello all,

Monticello Railway Museum is looking for one of these light fixtures to complete the interior restoration of the passenger section of Illinois Central Combine #892. The fixture is a brass casting, about 8" square at the base, and approximately 9" high less the globe. These were common in IC cars of the period, (1918) as builders photos show coaches with the same fixture style the length of the car.

Existing fixture in car.

Another view of the entire fixture/globe.

We have had a firm look at making a new one, but as you can imagine it is pricey for just one. However, if we purchase 10, the price drops to about $830 each, so if anyone is looking for a fixture of this style for a car restoration, this may be the chance to get a full set of fixtures at a more reasonable price. If anyone is interested, or has a surplus used fixture they're willing to part with, please drop me a PM, we'd like to hear from you.
