Hi All, A friend of mine has a UP CA-4 that he recovered from a scrap yard and is in the process of moving and restoring for display here in California. The trucks under the car were vandalized and a bunch of parts are missing so he is looking for either a source for the missing parts (swing hangers/equalizers and journal box parts mostly) or a set of replacement trucks. Has anyone in their travels stumbled on any UP outside swing hanger General Steel caboose trucks for sale? There was a set at Pacific Rail Dismantlers in Colton, CA earlier in the year but I just confirmed that they were recently scrapped. Any ideas? Thanks! Mike |
