Yes, you can download to a DOS computer, or print the failure codes to a TTY printer. However many owners did not, because the memory is very small and holds a limited number of line entries. For any recent problem entry where you need a record, it is usually quicker to take a picture of the screen fault display with a digital camera. And No, I don't know of anyone currently teaching 60-Series electrical classes. Those were a long time ago.
