Y'all:
I had a nice meeting today with Ken Rucker from the Association of Railway Museums about the joint meeting of ARM and the Tourist Railway Association at the N.C.Transportatoin Museum in November 2001.
But it made me recall that I've not seen anyone talking up the 2000 meeting here, so...
If you've got the time and resources to do it, get registered and head up to Scranton for ARM's annual meeting in September. This year's event is a wonderful smathering of fascinating speakers (take it from me, I should know, I'm one of them/just kidding!), seminars and the chance to comiserate about balky injectors, matching paint samples and luring visitors off the Interstate.
The real skinny is at http://www.visitnepa.org/arm2000/index.html
Go to this one, and then plan on the meeting at Spencer in November 2001!

Jim,
Yeah, the convention this year has a good line-up of stuff for those trying to make it happen at their museums. . .collections-wise and financially-wise. SRM hopes to bring a few people up there if we can get away from the museum for a few days.
--Malcolm
