Post subject:  ex-EJ&E cabooses on the Bangor & Aroostook

The recent question by Rob Davis (below) on B&M cabooses that went to Ohio brings up another question which has been bugging me of late. Kyle Wyatt of CSRM told me a few months ago that in 1956 the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad had apparently purchased at least one former Elgin, Joliet & Eastern 1910 era wood caboose and put it into service. The original EJ&E number was 12 and the new BAR number was C-73. My questions are these:

1. Does anyone know how many ex-EJ&E cabooses the BAR purchased at that time?

2. Are any of them still in existance?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
