Stumbled across an article from 2 days ago that N&StL 2-6-0 no. 210 has apparently been purchased by the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum in Madrid, NY and will be moving there at some point for a cosmetic restoration.

Good, Steamtown needs to let more locomotives/rolling stock go they can't/wont take care of.

I've been saying for about 5 years now that many of the neglected pieces of the collection are potentially available to be re-homed, if an interested party is willing to jump through the requisite federal hoops. I can't MAKE people come and do the work to take them. This certainly isn't a case of Steamtown refusing to consider deaccession.

Glad she's going to a good home so close to where she operated. That museum is constantly expanding and does an amazing job.

Hi
I am glad to read that the Norwood & St. Lawrence # 210 has found the new home, she will be in a much better place... The locomotive as we all know was part of the Nelson Blount collection...here is a photo I took of her in 1972 when the locomotive and the collection was located in Vermont...

Next I also do agree Steamtown museum should get rid of what locomotives that have been neglected of paint since moving to the current location... Some equipment has been painted since the mid 80's.... Pat.
