Post subject:  Looking for Brass Thresholds for Pullman VestibuleTrap Doors

I am looking to replace missing thresholds for vestibule trap doors on a Pullman Sleeper. These items are Brass castings and typically about 33" wide and 2 5/8" deep. The thickness may vary but is overall <1".

As many vestibule traps were destroyed by rusting, there is a chance that the brass thresholds survived longer than the traps.

We could be interested in several of these.

Although the traps have a right hand and left hand versions, it appears that the thresholds work for either.

The Pullman Drawing for this part may be 79-C-4 or 24-C-86 (older version).

If on the off chance that anyone has access to the casting pattern for this part it is reported to be Pullman A 11333. That could be of particular interest if casting replacements becomes necessary.

The picture below shows one such threshold although it was likely ground partially on the RH side for some reason after fabrication (possibly to avoid jamming into a door frame that was severely rusted).

Any suggestions on organizations to contact is welcome.
