This locomotive has seen a great number of miles since CPR retirement, usually leading sister 1238. I reviewed the 42 images and see parts removed, probably for transporting to Canada, tender wheels need turning, operation fixtures needing to be replaced. I didn't see or read anything horrific. Of course a boiler inspection and tubes, flues, etc. Where is 1286 deficient? Does anyone know for certain? FWIW, each of her surviving sisters have operated since CPR retirement. |
