Whether we like it or not, AI will continue to be part of our lives going forward...

Some ticketing companies are cutting customer service in favor of AI generated responses.

Tourist Railroads / Museums, what is your current experience and preferred ticketing platform? Would love to hear feedback.

Orrville Railroad Heritage Society has been using Etix. So far, very easy to work with them. I get to talk to real people that handle our account, I've gotten to know them and they're very helpful.

We recently switched to Zeffy at the WW&F. https://www.zeffy.com/

It's far from a perfect platform, but combining ticketing, bulk emails, and fundraising into one free-to-us option was enticing. Zeffy replaced FareHarbor, FundRazr (GoFundMe knock-off), and MailChimp - all of which required ever increasing fees or percentages. That said, the default transaction fee (Zeffy donation) is 17% on all ticket purchases or donations (but the purchaser can adjust it down to zero.) I think Zeffy would work well for small to medium size operations.

They also have real people you can talk with and they are actively improving their features based on feedback received. They've made several improvements directly due to my suggestions.

Without turning this into an ad for Zeffy, I will note that there is a referral program that will give the WW&F $300 if you use this link to sign up:

We use eTix at National Capital Trolley Museum. Dionne is our contact person and is always helpful.
