Someone had asked about the status of the CNJ coach that had been at Wasatch. There was an RFP issued by the National Park Service in May 2025 which is too big to attach here which shows the car in storage at the Bighorn Divide and Wyoming Railroad. I have not found where this was awarded, have to keep poking around SAM.gov. Photos provided show the car outside on freight car trucks, seats and such seems to be stored indoors. The RFP includes shipping the car back to Steamtown. Now to see if I can get this to post... |

From what I hear it should be headed back to Scranton soon-ish. One more thing I need to find space for. |

Did the coach received the repairs and refurbishment for which it was originally contracted? |

The crux of the lawsuit was that Wasatch was billing NPS both for work that had not (yet?) been done, and for work that was not done in accordance with the contract. Exactly how much was done (and how much needs to be un-done) I don't have exact details on. |

JR - thanks for getting this thread going and thanks to everyone else for all the information. At least it looks like the car is stabilized. Hopefully the parts were removed and inventoried properly. |

I dug through what documents are available on it, and it looks like contracting put together a bid package to abate it again, so I'm assuming it wasn't completed or wasn't completed to spec. I haven't been keeping up, but it may have been abated by a second contractor prior to shipping. |
