When its parent company went out of business, Jersey Shore & Antes Fort Railroad 3 was converted into a hunting camp. After lots of hard work, some thrifting, and receiving a few historic donations, we have recreated that part of the car’s life. The result is an exhibit highlighting how some “lived in” streetcars avoided being completely scrapped. Car 3 is now on display in our Trolley Display Building, as highlighted in this excellent video by Houses Of Pittsburgh!" Video at the link. |

It is/was my understanding (never mind, they said as much in their press release!) that Rockhill Trolley Museum plans a similar conservation/presentation plan for its recently-arrived York Railways 162, a sister to the long-running and handsomely restored York 163--preserving it as the "before restoration" as a cottage. |
