So anybody on here going to be at the Amherst Railway Society Hobby Show? I'm planning on being there both days for the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum. I know WW&F will be there I'm hoping to talk to some of them about their new coach build. |

Have a good show. I hope attendance is good, but I have my doubts. This pending winter storm is messing things up royal. As I write this I should be looking out a window at New York State from the Lake Shore Limited, but I am not. I was coming from Ohio until Amtrak last night cancelled my Sunday return train and could not accommodate me for a return home until Tuesday. Then it was on a circuitous 22 hour trip instead of the usual 12 hour trip direct. Too much travel time and an additional couple days in a hotel at regular market rates was too much. Oh well, hopefully next year. By then you should have more work done on the Parlor Car Berkshire Hills. You folks have a wonderful Museum and I enjoyed my time there a few years ago. Car 10 is a great car to operate. Thank you. I volunteer at NORM in Ohio and all your volunteers were gracious hosts. If anyone wants admission wristbands for both days, you just have to pick them up in Northeast Ohio. FREE! Steve |

Heavy attendance on Saturday and plenty to see for all hobbyists as well as collectors. Show emptied on Saturday after 4:PM due to hyped up snow reports. Still, while cold, the air was dry and a crowds were happy. Some beautiful and imaginative modular layouts. |

Hi All My friend and I had plans to attend the show on Sunday, but the roads, and the snow Storm had other plans.. For us it would have been a 100 mile drive one way,, but there is always next year,, and hopefully better weather both days of the show.. But this is New England,,and anything can happen during the winter season... for what I understand a lot of the show vendors bailed out on Saturday,, because of the winter weather..for what I saw on you tube,, on virtual railfan... on the camera's that were set up/// in the Better living center,, and 2 other building.. It is better to safe than sorry,,, we plan on attending next year,, take care stay safe,, and stay warm,,, Pat. |
