| Post subject: | Two "restaurant rail cars" in MA getting saved |
A rail car that was part of a McDonald's in Fall Rivers, and a rail car that was part of the now closed Bernie's Dining Depot in Chicopee are both getting new homes. The dining car that was part of Bernie's Dining Depot is being moved to the Chester Depot Railroad Museum and will be put on static display and be used as an event space. The Fall River Railroad car will be put back in service on the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad. Apparently the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad will use some parts from the Bernie's Dining car (assuming these parts are not needed since it's going to be a stationary exhibit) to restore their car to operation. |
