Nor have I seen recent updates on the B6sb restoration. I'm anxious to see the switcher moved into shelter and one of the other massive steamer moved into the shop.

I went by the RRMPa yard a week ago. There is a shallow pit of earth removed in the footprint of the roundhouse and contractor equipment parked on the museum's Bishop Road property across the street. I was there on a Monday and there was no activity that day.

Hi
First thank you for the reply's I wonder of the contractor, has other jobs, and hasn't gone back to finish the work that has been started.. ????
Or maybe the contractor is waiting for materials, or money to complete what has been started...
Maybe someone from the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania can answer the question,, why has construction stopped,,,going by the above posts...?????
Is the current administration( Government) holding up this progress, on this must needed roundhouse.???

First, this is a "government" job. "Government" jobs tend to move at glacial paces compared to, say, a commercial or private construction job. There may be multiple contractor involved (earth, foundation, building, electrical, plumbing, whatever. I have heard numerous nightmare stories of contractors doing two days of work and then having to wait three days for a 30-minute inspection before they can proceed further.

Second, maybe inclement weather has delayed things.

Hello, I'm a volunteer in the restoration shop of the RRMPA, and I can say that B6sb #1670's restoration is progressing nicely. The boiler jacketing is starting to go on, and the tender is finished and is currently waiting in the pole barn.
