Post subject:  Interesting circa 1915 Kansas City Southern rolling stock

Found this photo of an unknown depot amongst the Kansas City Southern negatives i am going through.

As is most often the case with photos of freight cars, a couple were captured incidental to the photo of the building.

The cabooses have quite ornate cupolas and the solid side truck (name escapes me at the moment) on the flatcar is interesting.

The truck appearing on the flat car is a Fox truck, a short-lived design that rapidly fell out of favor due to problems arising from their rigid side frames.

The South Carolina Railroad Museum has a flatcar with Fox trucks still. Out front on display.
