Post subject:  Seeking contact with Hopewell Productions re: digitizing VHS

Back in 1999 Rich M. at Hopewell Productions produced for the Bluewater Michigan NRHS Chapter a tape about a PM 1225 excursion. I want to seek getting this tape digitized along with the rest of the Hopewell catalog. Does anyone have a contact at Hopewell?

The tape is from May 1999 and was sold by Bluewater if anyone has a copy, I looked through all my tapes and can't find one.

Thanks

Chris Jacks

There are companies that will do that, at least one that advertises nationally (I think their name is Legacybox). I recently used a local outfit to convert a VHS tape for me for my 50 year high school reunion. I also recently purchased a device to allow me to hook up my VCR to my Mac and digitize my VHS and MiniDV tapes. Eventually I will find a place to post them for the world to see (if they care).

Rich is largely retired. I sat with him during dinner at an Age of Steam event about a year and a half ago. You might be able to contact him through them.

I purchased a HDMI to USB2 converter.

It converts the HDMI signal output from a VHS recorder and/or Comcast Digital Transport Adapter and records a MP4 Video file on the computer it is connected to.

I have converted well over 100 VHS tapes to digital files using the converter.

Google is your friend.

It seems the OP is looking for the specific tape, not the digitizing methodology.
Careful reading of the post is your friend......mld
