Hey everyone! I thought I would start a thread where anyone can post updates about traveling steam locomotives in 2025 - I'm talking about the Grammling Locomotives and others that travel to various railroads and museums.

I used to check railserve for this information but now I'm not sure where to look and certainly don't want to miss any.

Viscose #6 was down for its 1472 last year I believe, and both its and the Grammling's facebook page haven't been updated for a long time (the Grammling's website is "under construction") , so I don't know if either of these groups will be operating at all this year.

The Walkersville Southern Railroad in Walkersville, MD is usually a pretty reliable stop for one of the Gramling's locomotives every year - their 2025 events page indicates that steam will be returning again this year (currently listed as a TBD date):

The travelling locomotives, sadly, don't travel as much as they used to, but they still get around.

85 has been running at Walkersville Southern over Memorial day weekend the last several years. I have not heard of any of the other Grambling locomotives running lately.
