In Firenze / Florence, Italy, “Il Treno della Befana” (the Befana Train) is once again planned to operate on January 6, 2025. A steam-powered train will power historic 1930s Third Class coaches on a circular trip originating and returning to Firenze / Florence.

Steam locomotives are maintained and serviced at a shop in Pistoia, located about 40 kilometers northwest of Firenze / Florence.
