During some search about MRSR I stumbled on this flickr pics from 2015. Any idea and or history about that two old wooden boxcars. https://www.flickr.com/photos/28555987@N06/19763534031/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/28555987@N06/19763541701/ |

Mount Rainier Scenic has, or had, three wood boxcars. Burlington Northern #200838 wood with steel ends Bettendorf 5X9 UP 06-57 (re-lettered MRSR #200838) ex-Northern Pacific #11373>200838 AC&F 12-13-23 Milwaukee #X1066 outside braced wood, converted to bunk car (was used as toilet car at Elbe Depot) Milwaukee #714225 outside braced wood Bettendorf 5X9 (UP #361205 on truck) 0 |

Thank you John! I was guessing that the single sheated car is fom the 714000-717199 series of CMStP&P. See the builder photo from PC&F in 1928. The double sheated car could be almost anything GN USRA clone, GN truss rod rebuild or yes the NP 10000 series. See here: https://i0.wp.com/designbuildop.hansman ... _proto.jpg What is interesting that these MILW 714s and NP 10s are seldom like a virgin in high school. I did not know any other MILW of that series (2 from then previus 711s are in Chehalis, WA and Princeton, MN). The only other NP 10s is in Snoqualmie, WA.
