Said to be some of the most obscure "preserved" rail equipment around, here are some photos of this collection in Tracy City, Tennessee. All three foot gauge, it apparently last worked for the Sam Werner Lumber Company. Two Porter 0-4-0Ts are included, said to have once been owned by the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Ry. (perhaps at a tie plant?). A few persons have told me the owner is not amenable to visiting photographers.

Hey - this seems to be the newest post on the three locomotives and other materials moldering in a barn since the 1940s at Tracy City, TN. Apparently it all has been dispersed so the property could be sold. Here is a reference, more videos and other links probably will tell the full story. Several years ago I had been in touch with folks down there, mainly out of curiosity, but it was clear at that time nothing was going to happen to initiate any changes.

Why would a group called North East make a post about a south east railroad? Surprise!
North East Narrow Gauge Railroad Society has acquired the equipment of the Sam Werner Lumber company out of Tracy City Tennessee. Including 3’ gauge locomotive 701, originally MP Mcgarth of Bayonne NJ later NC&STL 701. Built by Vulcan in 1910, the only remaining Billmeyer & Smalls of York, PA two axle freight car in original condition. Plus a 3’ gauge track cart and arch bar trucks. This was part of a deal struck with the Sam Werner Military Museum in Monteagle TN.
As of writing this, the equipment is eastbound and down or it's 900 mile journey to Ralston, PA and the Loyalsock Valley Antique Machinery Association."
