interesting with the air equipment. You'd almost think they'd go modern easily replaceable freight style air brake parts. Are the sides actually wood or simulated wood but actually steel that profiled like that? |

It is wood, or reportedly a composite. It did not feel like metal to the touch. |

I believe that parts are still available for K and P brake valves as well. Plus, these brakes match what is on other EBT equipment. Having two different types of brake valves on one train makes for rough train handling.Plus, if I'm not mistaken, they have a fairly healthy inventory of air brake components in inventory. Why buy new when you have plenty of serviceable equipment on hand. |

I was about to ask "where" when the third or fourth entry wrote EBT. Thanks for the info and post but I wish folks would post more complete entries for us who don't live nearby. Ned |

Certainly looks nice, in keeping with the existing equipment. Does anyone know who was the builder, and did they build new trucks? |

Hamilton Manufacturing in Bellingham, Wash, with the trucks fabricated by them. Same company that has made coaches for the WP&Y. |

My apologies to nedne3 and anyone else left confused by the thin information in the original post... but after the 4-page brou-ha-haw about the EBT locomotive test-firing, I decided to take the minimalist approach. Trainorders . com has the scoop and some construction details. Nick |

A second car has arrived, you can see the first in front of the shop, Dennis Henry photo.. An accessible combination coach/baggage is due at some point I believe.

These look so nice compared to the WPYR counterparts. Looks like a copy of the WPYR 300 series cars. |
