Participants in this past Saturday’s “$25 Day” event, jointly hosted by the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and the Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys, were treated to a surprise appearance by BSM’s former United Railways & Electric Company open car #1164 after extensive restoration work.
The car has been under restoration for the past several years by a team of BSM volunteers and this was its first time carrying passengers in quite a while.
Some finishing touches remain before the car returns to regular museum operation this summer.
