Hi -- Is anyone on here connected with the Great Plains Transportation Museum in Wichita, KS? Or know anyone there? They have been unresponsive to e-mails. Thanks for any insights. Wayne |

They posted to their Facebook page within the last 24 hours, and update it frequently: https://www.facebook.com/GreatPlainsTra ... tionMuseum |

Yes, I know about their FB page, but I have a very specific question and I need to contact a human, not an algorithm. |

Okay, it is highly unlikely that an algorithm posted thus 22 hours ago: "To let everyone know late last week long time member and volunteer, [redacted] passed away. There is a memorial service planned for him on Sunday November 7th from 2pm to 4pm at the museum. Details will follow." But you do what you want, I won't connect the dots for you and say that an easy way to let them know you are trying to reach them would be to comment on their facebook page something like I have a very specific question and I need to contact a human. |

Thanks for the help. I've been able to obtain both an email address and a phone number for an individual. |

I wish they'd list their equipment on their website. Not much info there. |

However, our webmaster was hot garbage and the website looked like crap. We were blessed to have an awesome volunteer who upgraded our website to something much more presentable with the most pertinent information prioritized. Collections info will be added in the future - It's a work in progress. Regardless, despite having less collection info than before, website views and attendance have increased significantly (with the exception of when we were down for COVID restrictions). Also, our contact info, including email, is on the home page. - Cheers Drew Meek Former Webmaster - (but thank the lord, no longer) Great Plains Transportation Museum |
