It is with much sadness that I deliver the message that noted railroad artist Bob Lorenz of Fremont, Ohio passed away last evening surrounded by family.

Bob was a largely unheralded railroad illustrator who did all the creative graphics for the Golden Spike Centennial Limited, American Freedom Train, Iron Horse Enterprises ( C&O 614), ACE 3000 projects amongst his many railroad endeavors.

He was a lifelong steam lover and historian of all things NKP.

He is survived by his widow Bea, two daughters and 7 grand children.

R.I.P dear friend. Ross Rowland

Kevin Keefe wrote a nice tribute to Bob on the Trains magazine website. Sorry I'm not computer skilled enough to provide the link. A fitting tribute.

Thanks Kevin, Ross Rowland
