Summer 2019 update

This summer work season sees our attention turned to the fireman's side tender as we strive to remove the last of the many layers of green paint. Once this area is stripped and repainted then it is time to work our way forward...

I'm sorry, were we picking up from an old conversation?

Glad to hear - or perhaps be reminded Canadian National 4-8-2 No. 6069 is getting some attention.

What is the scope of the work?

I visited her last September. The locomotive is fenced, painted, and kept under flood lights at night. 6069 is sitting next to a live siding as well.

We certainly are trying Richard, there are still some areas that look a little rough with flaking paint and rust showing but we hope to tackle all the black area of the locomotive forward of the tender as soon as we finish the green on the fireman side of the tender

How long did 6069 last in operation?

It looks to be one of the better cared for static displays I've seen.
