Post subject:  New P72 Window Gaskets

I am putting together an order for a new die and gaskets for LIRR P72 vestibule and cabin doors. They will be the two piece style as are currently installed in our cars. Height about 1.15", 1" thick, for door opening thickness of .140 and glazing opening will be for FRA460. 65 Duro. General profile is here (the .250" thick glazing version):

If any P72 operators are interested in getting gaskets on this order please PM me here asap. Lead time is currently about 5 weeks and we want to get them coming for a Spring-time installation. We will be finalizing the design in the next few days (it likely won't change much if any from the above specs) and will be looking to order soon thereafter. The gaskets are provided in 100' spools (and we will not have a surplus). If anyone is looking for just a couple of windows worth and needs a partial spool LMK and we'll split one up if there are others in a similar situation.

Bumping this. The die has been ordered and we should be getting a first run soon. Finish design has a height of 1.25" and thickness of 1.15". This style will work with corners down to 3" radius, maybe 2.75 (not tested yet). Other specs are as previously noted. I do not have enough other interest to split another full coil yet, but if anyone is looking now, LMK asap.

We are looking for replacement gaskets for the regular windows in the P72s. Are they a standard size or do they need to be special ordered? EH, CMRR
