Does anyone know if the Westworld locomotives are new fake replicas or repurposed from Lone Ranger or Hell on Wheels? |

CGI can do a lot of things today, I have no idea but I checked on of the previews, hard to tell. Lone Ranger had one of the better "fake" engines I have seen, not perfect for some technical inaccuracies but thats hollywood. I would not doubt the re-use of the Ranger engines, you may not want a true historical engine running with some of al its little quirks it might have causing delays in production or potential damage to them or able to perform to the on cue rigors need for production, so I wouldnt doubt mockups in use. Perhaps more details on their production will come out sometime, I poked around, nothing yet. Seems Hell on Wheels was more cardboard stuff mockups. |

Got this photo from the official site; looks like one of the Lone Ranger engines, in fact it reminds me that a headache pill ad used one of the Lone Ranger props with "added" air tanks, which this one has: http://i.lv3.hbo.com/assets/images/seri ... 4-1280.jpg |
