I think this topic came up before, but I can't recall where it left off. Anyone have an update/status of Canadian Pacific FP7 #4070, the lead unit used in the film "Silver Streak"? I've seem to recall one report saying it was cut up and another more recently saying it was still around and sold to an individual.

If it is still around this would be a noteworthy item for preservation. A museum could advertise "Come see the movie star engine"...

From a post by MEC_557 - January, 17, 2015 - "The lead unit...4070, still exists as a different number derelict in Canada".

Ok, so who actually owns these two locos and what's wrong with them?
The Quebec central seems to have closed down in 2006....
